Modern Forms of Marriage

‘Modern Forms of Marriage’ was a feasibility study, which sought to explore why some marriages last and others do not. The study involved eight focus groups with married men and women to discuss their views on experiences, of marriage. All participants were first-time married and were selected according to the duration of their marriage. The aim of the research was to ascertain the key factor that participants attributed to lasting marriages, and how perceptions and experiences changed with the length of individuals’ own marriage.
