Sharon joined CRSP in November 1993 and is the Centre’s Office and Knowledge Transfer Manager.

Part of Sharon’s role is to manage CRSP’s administration office and procedures. This includes supervision of three project administrators and providing support to the Director, Professor Alan France. Sharon is also part of the Centre’s Management Team.

As well as having an overview of all projects in the Centre, Sharon is Project Administrator for the:
- European Commission funded project: Gendered Citizenship in Multicultural Europe: The Impact of Contemporary Women's Movements (FEMCIT). This is a four year international project funded under the Sixth Framework Programme.
- Experiences of using the Pension, Disability and Carers Service (PDCS).

CRSP has a number of Framework agreements with various funding bodies. Sharon works with Dr Noel Smith and Nigel Bilsbrough to maintain our existing agreements and to develop other opportunities. Our current Frameworks include:

  • Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • Office for Disability Issues (ODI);
  • Department for Transport (DfT);
  • Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC);
  • Learning and Skills Council (LSC)
  • Transport for London (TfL).

Sharon’s responsibilities also include arranging various CRSP events such as conferences and seminars. She was involved in arranging the last two conferences which were highly successful.

As part of her Knowledge and Transfer Manager responsibilities Sharon manages the Centre’s Publicity Group. This includes maintenance and development of the centre website www.crsp.ac.uk and the Minimum Income Standard project website www.minimumincomestandard.org as well as the creation and production of marketing and information materials.
